Toshiba New Mini NB200 Netbook




The Japanese electronic manufacturer, Toshiba has added new Mini NB200 netbook to its UK lineup, which has similar specification with the just announced Dynabook UX for Western markets. The NB200 is featured with 10.1-inch wide screen LED-backlit display with 1024 x 600 resolutions.
Powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, Toshiba NB200 netbook is also integrated with a 945GSE mainboard. It boasts a 160GB hard drive with free fall sensor, supports Wi-Fi and mobile broadband radios.
Besides, it is Bluetooth enabled built-in 0.3-megapixel webcam, integrated with three USB 2.0 ports and 3-cell battery with 4 hours of life.
Available in brown, black, white and pink, the netbook is expected to be available in UK in May and is priced at about $465.

Lenovo Unveiled New IdeaCentre A600 Desktop Computer System



Lenovo has just unveiled the expansion of its Idea brand with the addition of a new all-in-one IdeaCentre A600 desktop computer system. The new Idea Centre is claimed by lenovo as the thinnest all-in-one desktop personal computer.
The IdeaCentre A600 features a 21.5 inch frameless screen with 16:9 aspect ratios and 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD resolutions. It also powered with Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 Ram, optional ATI Radeon graphics and up to 1TB of hard drive capability. For providing better multimedia effect, it has integrated speaker system with a bass sub-wofer and Dobly Home Theatre audio certification. Additionally, it comes with built in digital TV tuner for watching and recording TV programs.
Others features of Lenovo A600 includes optional Blu-ray player, WiFi connectivity, 6 in 1 card reader, VeriFace facial recognition technology, USB, FireWire ports and optional Lenovo 4 in 1 remote controller that can be used as VOIP handset.
The Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 will be launched in April with a starting price of $999.

Infinity Announced First Movie Title On Hybrid Blu-ray/DVD For Japan

A Japanese entertainment software developer, Infinity has announced the first movie title on a hybrid Blu-ray/DVD disc in Japan. The movie title should be available in February 2009. The Hybrid Blu-ray/DVD disc is a combination of a traditional DVD with the new high-definition BLu-ray format. The new hybrid disc was developed two years ago by JVC, where the top of the disc has blue laser layer of 25GB, while the underneath have two more layers just like an ordinary DVD(8.5GB). The Blu-ray and DVD layers are separated by a semi-reflective film that reflects blue light while it allows the red light to pass through the DVD layer underneath.



Infinity also has noted that discs containing a couple of Blue-ray layers and a solitary DVD layer are also possible in the future. However, the first hybrid releases will be quite expensive. The hybrid HD discs that will be released in February includes a set of four hybrid discs (encoded in MPEG-4 AVC, Dolby Digital, 534 minutes in total) will cost around $406, while DVD version (7 DVD discs, 534 minutes, Dolby Digital) will retail for $266.
