Microsoft Security Essentials Beta Will Available Soon

After long awaited, Microsoft has officially announced the availability of its upcoming antivirus software, Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) which formerly known as Morro. The beta version will be released on June 23 for public to test. Base on the report, the application is expected to provide real-time protection against viruses, spyware, trojans and rootkits.



Available in english and portuguese version, Microsoft Security Essentials is also comes as a 32 -bit and 64-bit standalone installer for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 users. The installation of the MSE will consumes about 11MB of spaces and requests additional 140MB free spaces. Beside that, its requests at least 500MHz of CPU speed and a minimum of 256MB RAM, while Vista and Windows 7 are request at least 1GHz of CPU speed and 1GB of RAM.

The public beta will be limited to 75,000 downloads and the finished product is expected to be available by October.
